Hockey video analysis that speaks hockey
Shots and scoring chances, faceoffs, penalties and special teams, line changes and time on ice - the vocabulary is already in the software. Tag the game as it happens, then cut game film your players will actually sit through.
Tagging a hockey game
One keypress per event. Hands stay on the keyboard, eyes stay on the ice.
A letter per action
Every action tile carries the letter that creates it, and it is the same letter on the keyboard. The numeric keypad walks the marks and plays the clips.
Clock and period
The Online tab holds the game clock (the space bar starts and stops it), the period and the score. When the clock drifts from the scoreboard, nudge it by seconds or minutes.
Skaters on the ice
The +player, −player and 5-5 full strength buttons keep the strength state, so every mark shows whether it happened on the power play, shorthanded or at even strength.
Players on the mark
Add a player by clicking his number in the roster panel, or simply type the number. Who else was out there goes into its own column.
Faceoffs and subactions
The mark table offers fifteen optional columns - faceoff, subaction, note, players on ice, period, score and strength among them. You tick the ones you actually read.
Fixing things mid-game
Edit a mark by double-clicking it in the table, move it in time or in order, and Ctrl+Z brings back even a deletion. Find and replace fixes wording in bulk.
Shifts and time on ice
The Shifts tab records line, forward, defence and individual changes. Time on ice is computed from them.
With shifts tagged the figure is exact
The Σ Summary button in the Operations panel lists the players with the most time and how many shifts they took.
Without them it is an estimate - and it says so
The estimate comes from the gaps between consecutive marks of the same player, with a ceiling on a single shift set in preferences. Every listing states which of the two it used.
What the software counts for you
Numbers are recomputed after every edit, and a filter narrows them to a slice of the game - one period, one team, one colour, one action.
- Shots and goals for both sides
- Scoring chances, faceoffs and penalties
- Goaltender saves
- Charts of the most frequent actions
- How much each player was involved
Time on ice is not one of them - it is listed in the summary under the mark table.
Game film a player will actually watch
Pick the clips
Selected marks go into the working playlist (Ctrl+P) or straight into a playlist file. Opponent prep can be assembled from several games into one file - every clip carries its own video.
Draw what matters
Arrows, arcs and zones, F, D and G player markers, an inset with the detail next to the wide shot, a title card in front of the play.
Export it
Export clips (Ctrl+Shift+E) cuts the selection with ffmpeg, optionally with a logo, an action caption and transitions. Drawings, insets, title cards and the path animation are burned into the video.
Drawing on the rink
Draw over the footage - or with no footage at all, on a rink diagram or a picture of your own.
Full rink, half, zone
The diagrams are generated by the software and each keeps its true proportions: the faceoff circles stay round and there are no dark bands around the image.
Player markers
F, F1–F3, D, D1–D2 and G are dragged into place, alongside line styles, endings, fill, shadow and text.
A marker that travels
The animation runs along the line you drew - and runs in the exported clip too.
Your own background
Load your own image or a photo of the whiteboard instead of the diagram; the drawing sits on it exactly as it would on the footage.
Live games
Tag straight off the feed, from two places at once if you want.
Feed or capture card
The live source address is entered once in Settings → Integrations. The software watches it and records locally in full quality at the same time.
Up to three cameras
Three independently synchronised video sockets per mark - switching angles does not break continuity.
A tablet as the second screen
The Android app tags with the video small or hidden and the marks land in the computer. The action set lives on the server for the whole club.
Do you run another sport too?
The action set is not welded to hockey. What you configure yourself, and what stays hockey-shaped, has a page of its own.
