Frequently asked questions

The questions that reach our form and our support - including the ones the answer to is no. If something is still unclear, write to us; we usually reply within one working day.

Which computers does Sports Analysis run on?

64-bit Windows. It is built on .NET and Avalonia, so macOS is not closed off for the future, but today we ship Windows only and we promise nothing else. It installs with an ordinary installer; no virtual machine, nothing else on top.

Do we have to be online during the game?

No. Video, tagging, drawing and export all run on your computer, and neither the game nor the recording uploads itself anywhere. Only the licence needs the network: once it has been checked the software keeps running without it, and a computer with no connection at all can be activated with a transferred code.

Do we need a capture card to tag live?

Not necessarily. Video opens from a file, from an address or from a live feed - you enter the source address once in Settings → Integrations and the software watches it while recording locally in full quality. It works with a capture card too, but you can start without one.

Can one tool cover more than one sport?

Yes. The action set is not part of the software: you build it in the action editor and save it under a name - actions, subactions, colours, letters, categories and rosters. We ship examples, not ready-made presets. And where the software has its limits, we say so on the sports page.

How do players get a reel instead of the whole recording?

Selected marks go into a playlist (Ctrl+P) and the clip export (Ctrl+Shift+E) cuts them into one video with ffmpeg. Drawings, detail insets, title cards and the marker animation are burned in, so a player needs nothing but a video player. Opponent prep can be assembled from several games - every clip carries its own video.

What does a licence cost and can we try it?

A licence costs €40 per licence and month, VAT included, or 1 000 CZK - two separate fixed prices, not two faces of one. A newly registered device runs 14 days as a trial; ask us for a quote and a trial licence comes with it.

Can a licence move to another computer?

Yes, and you do not have to write to us about it. One licence covers one device and you can move it to another computer yourself in the secure portal, once every 30 days. A club can buy several licences and add devices at any time.

Do we lose the games from the original Hockey Analysis program?

You do not. The software reads and writes the same game file format, so old games open and save again with nothing lost on the way. It takes over the action set and the subactions by itself if it finds them on the computer.

Can we tag from a phone or a tablet?

Yes, with the Android app. Marks land straight in the computer, the action set lives on the server for the whole club, and the finished game is pulled down to the computer with its video. A tablet works as a second screen next to the computer, or entirely on its own - with the video small or hidden.

How often do new versions come out and do they cost extra?

Updates and new versions are included for the whole subscription period. The software checks for a new version itself, and you send improvement suggestions straight from the app - the portal then shows what happened with them.

Is the software available in English?

In English and in Czech. The language is switched in the settings and the software remembers the choice. This website and the secure portal are bilingual too.
